PSI Provides Support For 16 Bakal Cakada, Including Then M Iqbal Forward To The NTB Pilkada

JAKARTA - The DPP of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) announced support for three pairs of candidates for governor and prospective deputy governor candidates (cagub-cawagub), as well as 13 candidates for regional heads (cakada) at the district/city level in the 2024 Pilkada.

In the list of 16 candidates for cagub-cawagub supported by PSI, there is a pair Lalu Muhammad Iqbal-Dinda Dhamayanti Putri who is running for the 2024 West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Election.

During the event, PSI DPP Chairman Kaesang Pangarep immediately submitted a party recommendation letter to Iqbal who is also a former Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey and has a long career as a diplomat at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu).

This means that Iqbal has obtained PAN, PPP, Gerindra, and PSI support in navigating the 2024 NTB Pilkada.

The Iqbal-Dinda pair will fight against incumbent Zulfkieflimansyah and his partner Suhaili Fadhil Thohir. Both have received support from the Democratic Party.

Still at the same event, Kaesang also submitted a party recommendation letter to the two pairs of candidates for cagub-cawagub. The two pairs are Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji for the Pilkada of East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim), and Romi Haryanto-Saniatul Lativa for the Jambi Provincial Election.

Meanwhile, 13 candidates for district/city-level regional heads who are also officially supported by PSI today, namely Muhamad Marasabessy (Central Maluku Regency), Rusihan Jafar (South Halmahera Regency), Steward Leopold Luis Soentpiert (North Halmahera Regency), Peniel Waker-Saulinus Murib (Puncul Regency), Melky Jakhin Pangemanan (North Minahasa Regency), Ever Dowansiba (Arfak Mountains Regency), Budi Rustandi-Nur Agis Aulia ( Serang City), Helldy Agustian-Alawi Mahmud (Cilegon City), Hermus Indou-Mugiyono (Manokwari Regency), Asluchul Alif ( Gresik Regency).

Then, there is also the pair Marsul Kasmy-Basiran (Meranti Regency), the Pancani Gandrung-Raran (East Barito Regency) pair, and the Hanok Herison Pegiai-Hengki Kudiai (Poriai Regency).
