Saudi Arabian Air Force-Militer Discuss Cooperation, Including Officer Education Exchange
JAKARTA - Commander of the Indonesian Air Force's Doctrine, Education, and Training Command (Dankodikla) Marsdya TNI Arif Mustofa discussed cooperation in the defense sector with the Defense Attache of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Brigadier General Ahmed Saad Al-Zahrani.
Based on the official TNI AU press release, Thursday, July 25, Arif explained that the discussion occurred when Brigadier General Ahmed Saad came to the Adisutjipto Building, Makodiklatu, Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta, Wednesday, July 24.
Arif explained that the military cooperation between the Indonesian Air Force and the Saudi Arabian military was going very well and had been going on for quite a while.
One of the most recent, namely Saudi Arabia's military support during the mission to evacuate Indonesian citizens from Sudan in 2023 and assistance to Indonesian Air Force personnel while carrying out the pilgrimage.
In addition, one of the areas of cooperation that has been running is in the field of education through General Development Education (Dikbangum) at the Air Force Staff and Command School (Seskoau).
"So far, the Saudi Arabian Air Force has routinely sent officers to attend education in Seskoau. On the other hand, the Indonesian Air Force also sent officers to attend education in Saudi Arabia," he said.

Not only that, both parties also agreed to expand cooperation in the field of education by increasing the exchange of students at the level of the Air Force Unity Command School (Sekkau) in 2025.
Now, the Indonesian Air Force is discussing the possibility of military cooperation by holding joint exercises.
With this collaboration, Arif hopes that military forces to the two countries will strengthen. This collaboration is also expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
