Minister Of Religion Officially Closes Operational Hajj 2024
Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas officially closed the operation of the 1445 Hijri/2024 AD Hajj Dormitory Media Center Pondok Gede Hajj, Jakarta, Thursday, July 25.
"Alhamdulillah, all stages have been completed and I declare that the Hajj operation of 1445 Hijri/2024 AD will end. In the near future we will hold an evaluation and begin preparations for the implementation of the 1446 Hijri/2025 AD pilgrimage," said Minister of Religion Yaqut when opening the closing statement, confiscated by Antara.
In the repatriation phase, the 30 Flying Group (Kloter) congregation from the Kertajati Embarkation (KJT-30) closed the last flight from the Holy Land to Indonesia.
Minister of Religion Yaqut expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for his direction and support, so that this year's Hajj went well and smoothly.
In addition, he also expressed his gratitude to all partners of the Ministry of Religion, including the Indonesian Parliament, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transportation, the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), and elements of the TNI/Polri.
"Thank you for conveying to the Government of Saudi Arabia for its very good cooperation so that the implementation of the Hajj went smoothly and well. We also appreciate the various innovations carried out by the Government of Saudi Arabia," said Minister of Religion Yaqut.
He said that all phases of organizing the pilgrimage had gone well, ranging from departure, peak of Hajj, to repatriation.
Of the 213,320 quotas, there are 213,275 regular hajjes departing for Saudi Arabia from May 12 to June 11, 2024. Only 45 quotas are not absorbed.
According to him, the peak of Hajj in Armuzna from June 14 to 19, 2024 was also smooth. Murur was successful until the 2023 incident in Muzdalifah did not happen again.
From June 21 to July 22, 2024, he said, there were 212,720 people who were sent back to the country in 553 groups. Until the end of the operation, 46 hajj were still being treated in Saudi Arabia.
"The sick pilgrims will continue to be monitored by the Hajj Affairs Office (KUH) in Jeddah. During treatment, pilgrims are not charged. It is not excessive, if it is called Hajj 2024 it is successful and much better than in previous years," said Minister of Religion Yaqut.
