AP II Successfully Serves 231 Hajj Return Flights At Six Airports
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II has stated that it has successfully served 231 flights for the return of Indonesian pilgrims at six airports that show a commitment to providing efficient and reliable services.
"As for the repatriation phase for pilgrims from June 22, 2024 to July 22, 2024, as many as six AP II airports have successfully served the return of Indonesian pilgrims from the Holy Land," said the Temporary Substitute Officer (Pgs) SVP of Corporate Secretary AP II Cin Asmoro as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 24.
According to Asmoro, PT Angkasa Pura II succeeded in supporting the implementation of Hajj Transportation in 1445 H/2024 AD.
He said that the pilgrims who arrived in Indonesia through AP II airport in this repatriation phase were recorded at 94,795 hajj.
Of these, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is the most.
"Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang) mostly serves the return of pilgrims, namely 53,365 Hajj," said Asmoro.
Meanwhile, another AP II airport that serves the return of the pilgrims is Kertajati Airport (Majalengka) by serving 13,037 hajjes, then Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang) with 8,672 hajjes.
Next, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang) with 8,439 hajjes, Minangkabau Airport (Padang) with 6,590 hajjes and Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Aceh) with 4,692 hajjes.
"Meanwhile, the total number of flights in the phase of repatriation of pilgrims at AP II airport reached 231 flights," said Asmoro.
Asmoro said good collaboration from all relevant stakeholders at AP II airport ensured the smooth return of Indonesian pilgrims.

He also thanked the Ministry of Religion, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Transportation, TNI and Polri, Immigration, Customs, Quarantine, airlines, ground handling, and all people for their support for AP II airport during the implementation of the 2024 Hajj transportation.
All stakeholders at AP II airport collaborate in preparing operational plans including the arrival flow of pilgrims, starting from the arrival of aircraft to the arrival process at the terminal. In line with that, the implementation of the 2024 Hajj flight at AP II airport can run well," said Asmoro.
