Kadin Opens Voice About Thomas Djiwandono Being Deputy Minister Of Finance: Good, So That Smooth Transition Occurs

JAKARTA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) opened its voice regarding the inauguration of Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) II which was held on Thursday, July 18.

Meanwhile, Thomas has been the General Treasurer of the Gerindra Party since 2014 and has filled the position as the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka for Economics and Finance Task Force Team led by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad during the transitional leadership of President Prabowo Subianto.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid said that the inauguration was a good transitional process. He also welcomed this.

"Oh good, because for me it is the transition process. Thus, so that there will be smooth transitions between the current government and the next government," said Arsjad in response to VOI's question at the Smesco Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 24.

Arsjad assessed that this is a good strategy so that there will be smooth transitions for the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government in the future.

"So, for me, it's a good way or strategy and we really support it so that (there is) smooth transition," he said.

When asked further whether this was one of the strategies of the Prabowo camp to launch the Free Lunch program, Arsjad denied it.

"No. In my opinion, it's for all. That's, right, it's very important that (there is) a good and smooth transition. That's for the whole thing," he added.
