Driven By PPP Forward To The 2024 Gubernatorial Election, Cak Imin: No Intentions Yet

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar admitted that he did not intend to run in the Election of the Governor and Deputy Governor (Pilgub). This is Cak Imin's response when he was encouraged by Plt General Chairperson of PPP Muhammad Mardiono to run in the 2024 Pilkada. "Yes, his name is aspiration to continue to develop, right. There is no intention (forward to the gubernatorial election), really," said Cak Imin after the 26th Harlah event of PKB at JCC, Tuesday, July 23 night. After all, Cak Imin admitted that there has been no offer from any party to be promoted into cagub-cawagub even though in several areas PKB can nominate if they are pleased. "If there is an offer, if I want, the boat is sufficient. But the intention is not yet," said Cak Imin. Previously, in his remarks at the 26th Harlah PKB event, Mardiono considered Cak Imin to be the leader of a political party that succeeded in increasing the vote acquisition of PKB. "It is extraordinary and indeed Cak Imin is a phenomenal figure. All his political careers have always been successful, and have passed several positions that have been held by him," said Mardiono. Cak Imin's political career, viewed by Mardiono, is also almost complete. Starting from his experience as a minister, the leadership of the DPR, to the vice presidential candidate.

So, Mardiono encouraged Cak Imin to run as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Pilkada. "There is one that has not yet, namely the governor's candidate. Who knows, it will be successful to run for president if he has passed as governor," explained Mardiono. "We hope that Cak Imin will go down somewhere. What DKI, West Java, East Java," he continued.
