6 Times WTP Opinion Achieved, BPKH Recorded An Increase In Hajj Funds Managed By IDR 200 Billion From Last Year

JAKARTA - The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) has again won an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in the results of the 2023 financial report examination. This WTP predicate has been achieved for six consecutive years.

Head of the BPKH Implementing Agency, Fadlul Imansyah, said that the achievement of the WTP opinion was the result of the systematic, effective, and efficient management of hajj at BPKH.

"This WTP opinion is very important as proof of the trust of the people that we continue to protect. Hajj funds are managed in an accountable, transparent and careful manner in accordance with applicable regulations," said Fadlul in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23.

Fadlul said, this WTP opinion is a motivation for BPKH to continue to improve the quality of Hajj governance and financial accountability, so that it can provide more services for prospective Indonesian pilgrims.

"We will continue to strive to improve the quality of the management of hajj funds so that they are more accountable, transparent, and efficient. We are also committed to maintaining the trust of Muslims in managing hajj funds," he said.

Meanwhile, member of the BPKH Implementing Agency Amri Yusuf said the position of hajj funds managed by BPKH until December 2023 was IDR 166.74 trillion, an increase of IDR 200 billion compared to 2022 of 166.54 trillion.

"This year's hajj funds consist of Rp162.88 trillion in allocation of the costs of organizing the pilgrimage and Rp3.86 trillion in the people's endowment funds," he said.

BPKH also posted a benefit value of IDR 10.93 trillion in 2023. This value has exceeded the value of the benefits in 2022, which amounted to IDR 10.13 trillion with an achievement of 7.90 percent.

"The value of this benefit will be used to support the implementation of the pilgrimage and the distribution of virtual accounts for the waiting congregation," Amri continued.
