This Is The First Time To Taste Indonesian Football, Christophe Nduwarugara Is Immediately Impressed
JAKARTA - Borneo FC recruited Christophe Nduwarugara to navigate Liga 1 2024/2025.
The defensive midfielder has also been played in the 2024 President's Cup pre-season tournament to unite with the team before appearing in the league.
Christophe Nduwarugara initially admitted that he was blind about Indonesian football. He only played against the Indonesian national team while defending Burundi in a test match.
The Indonesia vs Burundi match was held twice in March 2023 at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium as the FIFA Matchday agenda.
However, as soon as he appeared in the 2024 President's Cup, he felt impressed with the atmosphere of Indonesian football.

"Last year I played against Indonesia. The first time I came here, I didn't know Indonesia, I didn't know the atmosphere. However, now I know," said Christophe Nduwarugara.
Before receiving an offer from Borneo FC, Nduwarugara admitted that he had received an offer from another Indonesian club. However, at that time he had to refuse because he was still in a contract with Portuguese club, Academico Viseu.
"Before Borneo FC, there were several League 1 teams that contacted me, but at that time I was still playing in Portugal. Now I know, League 1 has a lot of good teams and good players. Hopefully I can bring Borneo FC better than last season," said Nduwarugara.
Nduwarugara has so far stolen the show. Appearing in two Borneo FC matches, the role of the 30-year-old player is very important in midfield balance.
In fact, this Burundi national team player became the player with the most successful passes. He has packed 129 successful passes.
