JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the value of the dredging project of a number of ports which led to corruption reaching hundreds of billions of rupiah. This figure is for eight work packages.

Meanwhile, for the amount of state losses due to fraudulent practices, Tessa has not been able to explain further. Because, the calculation is still being carried out.

Likewise, those who have calculated state losses have not been detailed. "There is no (number of losses, ed) because the calculation is still in process," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.

"Meanwhile, for those who calculate there is no information from the investigator," continued Tessa.

Previously reported, the KPK conducted a new investigation into allegations of corruption in the work package for dredging shipping lanes at several ports in Indonesia. Nine people have been named as suspects.

The alleged corruption occurred between 2013 and 2017. The current work package being investigated is the dredging of the Tanjung Emas Port shipping lanes for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 fiscal years; work packages for dredging the Samarinda Port shipping lane for the 2015-2016 fiscal year; the Benoa Port shipping route dredging package for the 2014, 2015, and 2016 budget years; as well as the dredging work package for the Pulang Pisau Port shipping lane for the 2013 and 2016 fiscal years.
