KPK Searches For Electronic Letter Of Procurement Of Presidential Social Assistance Allegedly Corruption
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) traced documents in the form of electronic mail or e-mail containing the process of procuring presidential social assistance (bansos) distributed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This step was taken by examining witness Noor Rachmat, who is the Head of the Legal Division of PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (BGR) Logistics Indonesia. Investigators asked for his statement at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 22.
"Investigators were summoned to attend regarding the email document for the banpres social assistance procurement process," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, July 23.
Meanwhile, PT BGR is a state-owned company that was dragged into the previous social assistance case, namely the distribution of rice for the Family Hope Program (PKH) by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Previously reported, the KPK revealed that it was investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of presidential social assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic which was distributed in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) in 2020. There are already suspects named, namely Ivo Wongkaren who is the President Director of Mitra Energi Persada.
