In the video, he shows that in order to connect the Galaxy Ring to a non-Samsung phone, users need to install the Galaxy Wearable app. However, Lee's video comes after the Samsung newsroom website states that the smart ring requires a Galaxy phone. The website does not refer to specific features.
However, the video clearly shows that the Galaxy Ring doesn't need Samsung phones to work. However, you still need a Galaxy device if you want to use features like Find My Ring, Energy Score, and Wellness Tips.
