5 Days 'Hil' After The Agencies At The Semarang City Government Were Ransacked By The KPK, Walkot Ita Claims Not To Go Anywhere

SemarANG - Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu or Ita confirmed that he was not going anywhere after a search conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a number of Semarang City Government agencies on Wednesday, July 17."I'm here, I'm not going anywhere. I'm here," he said, after attending a plenary meeting at the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Semarang City, Central Java, Antara, Monday, July 22.Responding to searches by the KPK in the Semarang City Government's scope, Ita ensured that her party followed the procedures that were being set."Alhamdulillah, until now I have been fine and just follow the procedures carried out," said the number one person in Semarang City.Ita also ensures that the running of government and public services within the Semarang City Government will continue to run well even though the issue of alleged corruption is being hit.It is known that KPK investigators searched a number of regional agencies and organizations within the Semarang City Government since last Wednesday. Almost a week since the start of the search by the KPK, Ita has not been seen at her office at Semarang City Hall.Ita finally appeared during the plenary meeting at the Semarang City DPRD which scheduled the signing of the Public Budget Policy Change Safety Note (KUA) and the Priority Changes and Temporary Budget Ceiling for 2024 today.The search was carried out by KPK investigators at a number of offices of the Semarang City Government Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), both in the City Hall complex and Pandanaran Building.Not only searching, KPK investigators also asked for information from a number of OPD leaders of the Semarang City Government. The KPK stated that the search was related to the handling of three suspected corruption cases within the Semarang City Government.The three cases of alleged corruption include the procurement of goods and services within the Semarang City Government for 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants for incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area, as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities for 2023-2024.KPK investigators have also named a number of parties as suspects in the case, but have not provided further information regarding the identities of the parties.KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto said four people had been prevented from traveling abroad in connection with the investigation of the alleged corruption case.
The four people who were prohibited from traveling abroad, consisting of two people came from state officials and the rest were private parties.
