Update On The Search For The Material Ship BTS BAKTI Kominfo: The SAR Team Departs To The District Of Pulau Tiga
JAKARTA - President Director of BLU BAKTI Kominfo, Fadhilah Mathar, said that currently they are continuing to search for the LCT Cita XX ship carrying BTS BAKTI materials, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
"Monday morning July 22, 2024, at 08.05 WIT, the joint SAR Team left for the waters of the Island Tiga District," said Fadhilah in a written statement on Monday, July 22.
The joint SAR team consisted of elements from the Navy, Polairud, and the regional SAR team, using one KRI unit and one helicopter.
Fadhilah added that team 1 departed from Timika using the Yapero Patkamla ship belonging to the Indonesian Navy to conduct a sweep of the middle sea route. Meanwhile, Team 2 departing from Asmat using RIB Basarnas is planned to conduct a sweep into shallow water areas.
"BAKTI Kominfo continues to monitor the development of information and make every effort possible to support searches. We will update the latest information at the first opportunity," he concluded.
The LCT Cita XX ship carrying 12 people, as well as materials for BTS, towers, power, and VSAT for the provision of 4G BAKTI Kominfo signals in the Yahukimo Regency area, has lost contact since July 17.

Fadhilah also said that the Cita XX ship had departed from Timika on Monday, July 15 at 05.43 WITA and was scheduled to arrive in Yahukimo on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
However, on Friday, July 19, 2024, the person in charge of the Cita XX ship, Mufli, reported to the National Team Search and Rescue Agency that the ship had not yet arrived at Yahukimo Port.
