KKP Claims To Pocket Names Of Actors Behind BBL Smuggling Activities
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) stated that it was aware of the names of actors behind the rampant smuggling of lobster clear seeds or BBL to a number of countries.
The reason is, so far only senders or couriers have been caught, while investors and other actors seem difficult to eradicate.
Director General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) Pung Nugroho Saksono admitted that the arrest of a syndicate of BBL smugglers only stopped at couriers. However, now his party is acting more decisively to catch to the roots.
"So far, those arrested by the KKP (only) are couriers and to get to investors or intellectual actors, it is very difficult. So far, if people are caught stopping at couriers. 'already you don't admit that your family doesn't guarantee it'. Now there is no sentence, you still have to admit who ordered it, where is the capital sent. Our investigators are a bit fast," said the man who is familiarly called Ipunk when met after a press conference related to the Update on the Development of the Lobster Seed Smuggling Case (BBL) at the KKP office, Thursday, July 18.
Ipunk admitted that his party had pocketed the names of the actors who played in the BBL smuggling. However, he could not mention it in order to maintain confidentiality until the investigation was completed.
"We have pocketed the names. Anyway, if it is proven that one day we will open (the identity), if it is not proven, we will pocket it again. So, we continue to maintain this confidentiality so that the realm of law enforcement does not become noisy," he said.

The KKP reports that Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from lobster cultivation has reached IDR 3,606,692,000 since the enactment of lobster governance regulations.
Of this total, Rp2,705,019,000 will be allocated to the cultivators, while the remaining Rp901,673,000 will be managed by BLU for a sustainable lobster management program.
"Since the Ministerial Regulation (Permen) 7 (2024) was enforced, the number (PNBP) is around Rp. 3.6 billion. Imagine if so far many people say that every day BBL flies abroad, we get nothing. Now, we have PNBP thanks to this policy," said KKP Special Assistant for Media and Public Communication Doni Ismanto.
