Corruption Case Of Fort Otanaha Tourism Project 2017, Former Secretary Of Gorontalo Dinpas Detained

JAKARTA - The Gorontalo Police have detained the former Secretary of the Gorontalo City Tourism Office (Dinpar) with the initials MML on suspicion of corruption in the work of developing the Otanata Benteng tourist attraction in Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province.

Head of Sub-Directorate III of Corruption Crimes of the Special Criminal Directorate of the Gorontalo Police Commissioner Tumpal Siallagan said the alleged corruption case occurred in the 2017 fiscal year.

"At that time MML as the Budget User Authority (KPA). The contract value for the work package for the development of the Fort Otana tourist attraction was Rp. 2.2 billion," said Tumpal in Gorontalo, Thursday, July 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

Tumpal explained that the vegetation work item, namely the plants at the construction site, had not been planted when the handover of the work was carried out on December 11, 2017 and the work items on the floor of the brush were used only ordinary pebble material, not according to the price of the brush mill unit.

He revealed, based on the results of the construction expert's examination, it was found that the discrepancy in the quantity and quality between the installed work compared to the results of inspections in the field, there was a difference in the lack of work value.

State losses are estimated based on the report on the results of the investigation by the Financial Supervisory Agency (BPK) amounting to Rp812 million.

The MML suspect is subject to Article 2 paragraph 1 and Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 with a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
