JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep ranks at the top of the 2024 Central Java (Central Java) governorial candidate survey. Meanwhile, businessman from Pati Regency, Witjaksono, excels as a candidate for deputy governor of Central Java.

Kaesang-Witjaksono's superiority was taken from the results of a survey by the Millennium Community Research Institute (LPMM) which was conducted on June 5-14, 2024.

"The findings of the LPMM survey related to the name Cagub Central Java have narrowed to 4 names, namely Kaesang Pangarep received 17.4 percent support, then Sudaryono 16.8 percent, followed by Ahmad Lutfie 16.1 percent, and Hendrar Prihadi 15.8 percent. While other figures are below 5 percent, "said LPMM Executive Director Alamsyah Wijaya, in his statement, Wednesday, July 18, evening.

Meanwhile, from the results of the survey with top of mind simulations, continued Alamsyah, the electability of entrepreneurs from Pati Regency, Witjaksono is in first place as a candidate for deputy governor of Central Java.

"The electability of the figures mentioned by respondents when asked to choose the Central Java cawagub, Witjaksono 29.1 percent, Taj Yasin 18.8 percent, Sri Mulyani 10.2 percent, Yusuf Chudlori 8.2 percent, and Umi Azizah 6.3 percent," explained Alamsyah.

"Then Dico Ganinduto 4.9 percent, Raffi Ahmad 3.7 percent, Heru Sudjarmoko 3.3 percent, Riyanta 2.8 percent, Casytha Arriwi 2.3 percent, and have not yet given 10.4 percent choice," he continued.

According to Alamsyah, Witjaksono's high electability rate has a significant relationship with the criteria and background of the Central Java regional head desired by the people of Central Java. Where as many as 33.7 percent of respondents want to have a business or entrepreneurial background like Jokowi.

"Meanwhile, religious leaders 17.1 percent, then politicians 10.1 percent, campuses 7.3 percent and the TNI-Polri-ASN 20.2 percent, the rest 11.6 percent," he said.

The LPMM survey also tried to simulate the pair Hendrar Prihadi-Sri Mulyani, which is nationalist-nationalist. Meanwhile, Kaesang was paired with Witjaksono, who is also a Nahdliyin cadre as the General Chair of SNNU (Nahdlatul Ulama Fisherman's Union).

Likewise, the pair Ahmad Lutfie-Taj Yasin is also from the Nahdliyin circle. As well as Sudaryono and Umi Azizah, where Umi Azizah is the Chair of Muslimat NU Tegal.

Alamsyah explained, from the simulation of the four pairs of cagub-cawagub, if paired, the Kaesang-Witjaksono pair with their political soap opera Nationalists-Nadliyin had the highest chance of winning, if the Central Java gubernatorial election was held today.

"In the simulation of the four names of the cagub-cawagub pairs, the survey results showed that the Kaesang-Witjaksono pair had the highest electability rate of 34.3 percent if the Central Java Pilkada was held today," said Alamsyah.

"The second order was Sudaryono -Umi Azizah with 29.6 percent then Ahmad Luthfi -Taj Yasin 15.4 percent, the Hendrar Prihadi - Sri Mulyani pair who only won 13.3 percent, then 7.4 percent of respondents still did not make their choice," he concluded.
