Porsche Introduces The Latest Taycan And Third Generation Panamera At GIIAS 2024

TANGERANG - Porsche is back at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by introducing two of its newest vehicle lines, namely Taycan facelift and the latest generation of Panamera.

"Now, Taycan has just been comprehensively improved, today, the new Taycan that we are showing marks the bold move for Porsche Indonesia towards the future of electric mobility," said General Manager of Porsche Indonesia Alexander Riedel at the launch at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Wednesday, July 17.

Taycan was introduced in 2019 and is now getting a refresher for the first time. The manufacturer carried out several overhauls on the front bumper, main lights, and ventilation for wind flow.

The rim design is also updated in order to reduce the rolling assistance element. In addition, the back is decorated with a rear light strip with a three-dimensional effect.

In terms of technicality, this sport-style model has a 93 kWh to 105 kWh battery which is claimed to have increased in terms of distance. The standard version can offer a range of 503 km to 678 km. Meanwhile, the Turbo S variant rose 558-630 km in one charge.

This car also has a higher performance than the previous base variant of up to 408 ps, then Performance Battery Plus to 435 ps and Taycan 4S can generate 544 ps of power up to 598 ps.

The Turbo S variant also experienced an increase in energy of up to 932 ps which was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 2.4 seconds.

Meanwhile, Porsche Indonesia also launched a third-generation Panamera with significant changes. The exterior is decorated with LED Matrix headlights as a standard feature. The redesigned window line on the side display further strengthens the sedan character on the four-door sports car.

"With unrivaled luxury, almost infinite individualization choices, and of course, the dynamics and sophistication of Porsche's typical driving," Riedel explained.

Focusing on the comfort side, this car is up to 5,052 mm long, 1,937 mm wide, and reaches 1,423 mm high.

The new Panamera has arrived with an air suspension from the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard equipment. Two-valve technology separates the rebound stage and compression from the damping control and therefore offers a wider range between comfort and sporty impressions. Drivers will also be greeted with tall center consoles that provide the cockpit on the plane.

Panamera, which is sold in Indonesia, will carry a 2.9 liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, providing up to 353 ps of power and a 500 Nm torque assisted by a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) system.

With this engine, the Porsche Panamera can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with the highest speed of up to 272 km/hour.

Based on the brand configurator page, Taycan is priced from IDR 3.499 billion to IDR 5.7 billion Off The Road DKI Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the latest generation of Panamera has not disclosed its official price in Indonesia.
