Suzuki Shows The Concept Of The EVX Electric Car At GIIAS, Perdana In Southeast Asia
JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) brought the concept of an EVX electric car, as well as its first appearance in Southeast Asia, precisely at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), 18-28 July 2024.
The emergence of the concept of environmentally friendly vehicles is also complemented by various Suzuki car model lines-ups which are currently popular in the domestic automotive market.
Minuru Amano, President Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales said Suzuki is developing a variety of unique neutral carbon solutions for the global automotive industry.
"Multi-pathway is Suzuki's global strategy in overcoming the current problem of carbon neutrality, one of which is through the development of battery-based electric vehicles (BEVs) which are becoming the warmest topics. As part of the global Suzuki strategy, we bring, show and introduce the concept of eVX electric cars to the public in Indonesia, as a reference to Suzuki's future answers to the challenges of carbon neutrality," he said, while showing off the car at the GIIAS 2024 event, Wednesday, July 17.
The development of environmentally friendly vehicles is very important for Suzuki Indonesia. The presence of 3 Suzuki hybrid models as part of the Low Carbon Emission Vehicle program is also a mainstay in the Indonesian automotive market. Following these models, Suzuki principal is developing the BEV as another alternative that is included in one of Suzuki's global strategies.
EVX is the first electric car concept from the EV world strategic model that Suzuki calls an environmentally friendly vehicle in the form of an SUV to drive on the road or off the road. Suzuki believes that to face the challenges of global environmental issues, it is necessary to provide various alternative vehicles for customer needs through multi-pathway strategy, one of which is through electric cars (BEVs). The SUV style promoted by EVXs is a response from Suzuki to proposals from many customers in the global market.
The theme carried by eVX is High-tech x Adventure, which is the combination of high technology with a strong SUV silhouette. The development that is being carried out aims to make the Suzuki BEV able to run poweredly not only in urban areas but also on the off-road field. The body line on the exterior side expresses the strength and resilience of the SUV with the right dimension, namely with a length of 4,300 mm, 1,800 mm wide and 1,800 mm high.

Meanwhile, the use of the benefits of the BEV platform makes the interior space of the eVX even more spacious. The impression of the toughness of an SUV is expressed through a tough seat shape. In addition, its sophistication is visualized through large seamless display and the dial shift, so it really reflects the High-tech x Adventure.
In addition, the eVX will be equipped with the latest 4WD ALLGRIP EV wheel drive system which is the special evolution of electric cars from the system that Suzuki has developed in the past. In more detail, the concept of electric cars comes with a distance of up to 500 KM to take you wherever, both inside and off-road.
Through the concept of the eVX electric car, we want the Indonesian people to participate in witnessing the commitment contained in the global Suzuki strategy in developing environmentally friendly vehicles and zero emissions. Why is Indonesia so important for Suzuki, because Indonesia is the 3rd pillar of Suzuki in the world. This concept is one of the forms of the future that Suzuki dreams of. " close Minuru Amano.
The existence of the concept of eVX electric cars is believed to be a captivating power for GIIAS 2024 visitors who do not want to miss the opportunity to become witnesses to see high technology firsthand and the global Suzuki strategy. Moreover, the appearance of eVX in Indonesia is the 3rd time in the world after India and Japan, which indicates the importance of appreciation for the enthusiasm and awareness of the Indonesian people for environmentally friendly vehicles.
