Jonathan And Ginting Start Specific Preparations For The 2024 Olympic Group Round

JAKARTA Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting began to finalize their way of playing and preparing strategies to face their opponents in the 2024 Paris Olympics group stage.

Irwansyah as a coach from the single sector said that on the second day of the training camp in Chambly, his foster children were trained more specifically because potential opponents were known.

"Indeed, the program is different from the National Training Center. In Pelatnas, we focus on strengthening all aspects, muscles, physical and others. Now we have focused on how to play," he said.

In the preliminary phase later, Jonathan will enter Group L. The 2024 All England Champion will fight against Lakshya Sen (India), Kevin Cordon (Guatemala), and Julien Carraggi (Belgium).

Meanwhile, Ginting, who is the bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is in Group H. In the group are Toma Junior Popov (France) and Howard Shu (United States).

Irwansyah said that the readiness of his two foster children so far had run without a hitch. He also hopes that the experience of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics can help them.

"They are very good from their readiness off the field, their habits, and disciplines related to the field. Very positive," he said.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Jonatan and Ginting are among the nine athletes from badminton who performed there.

Badminton began to be contested the day after the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The match will last for 10 days until August 5, 2024.
