BYD Officially Launches Song Plus DM-i, BYD's First Hybrid In South America
JAKARTA - A car manufacturer from China, BYD, officially launched Song Plus DM-i in Ecuador, marking its first time launching a hybrid model in the South American country.
Citing from the CNevpost page, Tuesday, July 16, BYD launched Song Plus DM-i at the Guayaquil Auto Show in Ecuador, the country's largest automotive exhibition.
"Our vast portfolio in Ecuador undoubtedly represents cutting-edge technology and a firmer dedication to a more environmentally friendly future, seeking to provide mobility and optimal efficiency that is tailored to the needs of our customers," said the Andro Group Partner Brand Manager of BYD in Ecuador Santiaga Mena.
In specifications, BYD Song Plus DM-i is powered by BYD DM-i technology and has a combined range of 1,105 kilometers and 337 hp, meanwhile the cabin of this car is equipped with a 15.6-inch smart screen with an Infinity Deluxe sound system creating a smooth and intelligent cabin experience.
"As part of its global strategy, BYD will continue to actively promote its business in Ecuador," he added.

At the event, BYD also announced the opening of a new network of dealers located at Aveida de wes Americas in Guayaquil.
