Honda Offers Africa Twin Special Edition, Only 75 Units Available

JAKARTA - A motor vehicle manufacturer from Japan, Honda officially launched the CRF1100L Africa Twin in England. Not only that, the motorbike comes with a special edition on British soil.

Launching from Motorcyclenews, Monday, July 15, the manufacturer provides Adventure Roads Edition for British consumers as well as celebrates the success of the Honda Adventure Roads 2024 event which took place in Morocco.

The annual motorcycle tour was held to various exotic locations involving 30 motorists who went on 10-day adventures in the country. It was the fourth event after it was held in Nordkapp, Norway in 2017, South Africa in 2019, and Iceland in 2022.

Returning to CRF1100L Africa Twin, the motor carries a classic tri-color' Honda color pattern, namely red, white, and blue with a Adventure Roads plaque on wheels, fuel tanks, and much more.

In addition, this motor has a capable ability to bypass various terrains with updates on suspensions, chassis, machines, and electronic devices.

The position of the windshield is experiencing updates, tubeless tires, and fairing designs experiencing an update and adding to the versatility function of the Africa Twin. Furthermore, updates on platforms such as valve timing revisions, compressions, redesigns, and electronic device refreshes, offer a different driving experience in various conditions.

This motorbike gets some standard equipment, consisting of electronically regulateable suspensions, a heating handle, and a larger fuel tank.

Speaking of performance, the Africa Twin has an engine of 1,084 cc cooled parallel-twin liquid which provides an increase in torque of up to 7 percent which is claimed to have 102 dk of power at 7,500 rpm and 112 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The six acceleration dual-clutch (DCT) transmission system is also improved, providing a sense of more natural dental change. There are three gyrboks modes with 'MT' for manual gear displacement using the handlebar switch.

This edition comes in limited only 75 units with prices ranging from 15,699 pounds (Rp329.5 million) on manual transmission and 16,899 pounds (Rp354.7 million) for DCT. Buyers also get a variety of original accessories, including crash bars, machine protection bars, extra fog light, and aluminum radiator protectors by only paying a premium of 1,000 pounds (Rp20.9 million).
