JAKARTA - The largest and most complete exhibition in Southeast Asia, Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2024, posted a transaction of IDR 7.5 trillion during 33 days of implementation from 12 June to 14 July 2024.

"This year's organization as the committee is very happy and proud of our achievements for 33 days, followed by more than two thousand 'tenants', 1,500 booths, absorbing tens of thousands of workers and transactions of Rp7.5 trillion," said General Manager Operations Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Oki Setiawan at the close of Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2024 in Jakarta, Sunday.

This year's transactions are largely supported by the large number of participants from automotive, especially electric vehicles that are of interest to visitors. The value of IDR 7.5 trillion also increased compared to last year's IDR 7.3 trillion.

In addition, there are more participants or companies participating in Jakarta Fair or Pekan Raya Jakarta this year. In fact, most of them build outlets that attract the attention of visitors.

Oki said that the Jakarta Fair 2024 implementation was encouraging trade promotions and building the economy of Jakarta and the national economy. In addition, this implementation was held in the context of Jakarta's 497th Anniversary (HUT).

"Jakarta Fair supports Indonesia's economic growth with the theme, let us all be full of enthusiasm to promote the industry. In fact, this theme has succeeded in making Jakarta Fair one of the largest events in Southeast Asia and is one of the benchmarks for industrial development," said Oki, as reported by Antara.

DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus Setyono expressed his gratitude to the entire PT JI-Expo team for the success of the Jakarta Fair 2024 as well as encouraging the new age of Jakarta.

This implementation also spurs Indonesia's economic activities and encourages even growth in all industrial sectors. "As a center for economic, business and government activities, Jakarta has an important role with a contribution of 17 percent of the national economy," said Joko.

Joko explained that Jakarta continues to grow strongly with a stable economy and inflation that is maintained in the midst of the dynamics of the global economy. This is also related as referred to in Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning Special Regions for Jakarta (DKJ).

"Jakarta will now transform into the center of the national economy and global cities for 500 years through changes, synergies between the government, business entities and other elements, making Jakarta a progressive megapolitan city," said Joko.

Joko hopes that in the future Jakarta will become a global city with cultural diversity as well as a center of movement and a comfortable home for the people of Jakarta.
