In proactive steps, Serang City Diskominfo proposed additional servers to the local city government to strengthen storage capacity and data backup.

The head of the Serang City Diskominfo, Arif Rahman, revealed on Saturday, July 13 in Serang, Banten, that hacker attacks that occurred on June 20, 2024, targeted the National Data Center (PDN) II in Surabaya, but Serang City was safe because the data was stored at PDN I in Serpong, South Tangerang. "Even though PDN I was not attacked, we still have to be vigilant," said Arif.

Arif emphasized the importance of anticipating potential attacks in the future. "We have briefings with related fields to anticipate. We are worried that an attack will occur in PDN I which could have an impact on us," he said.
