Khofifah-Emil Dardak Meets Raffi Ahmad To Discuss Construction Of Culinary Tourism Destinations
JAKARTA - The candidate for governor and deputy governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Elestianto Dardak met artist and entrepreneur Raffi Ahmad in South Tangerang, Banten, Friday night. The meeting of Khofifah-Emil and Raffi was to discuss the plan to build a culinary tourism destination for the archipelago in the East Java region as well as to develop similar culinary areas in the Batu and Bromo Tourism City Areas. "Mas Emil and I deliberately came here, in addition to the culinary, to discuss the concept of what areas will be developed in East Java in the future," he said in a statement received in Surabaya, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 13.
Khofifah explained that the plan for the culinary center of the archipelago in East Java will be combined with music performances and sports arenas. This integration is expected to be a special attraction for the community. Moreover, he said, Batu City and Bromo are tourist destinations for the domestic and foreign communities. Khofifah added that the presence of this archipelago culinary center can encourage MSMEs and creative economy actors from East Java to grow faster and can penetrate the global market. "God willing, if we are both trusted by the people of East Java, we will realize this plan by cooperating with Mas Raffi Ahmad," he said.
For information, Raffi Ahmad developed the Great Rans Nusantara in BSD City, South Tangerang, Banten. There are more than 112 local culinary tenants, which offer a wide selection of food, ranging from snacks, drinks, to heavy dishes.
The culinary center is built on an area of 2.1 hectares with a visitor capacity of up to 2,000 people.
