Minister Of Manpower Appreciates Huawei's Digital Talent Development Contribution In Indonesia

The Ministry of Manpower appreciates Huawei's contribution as a multinational technology company from China which is considered to have a high level of regulatory compliance with regulations in Indonesia.

In a meeting with Ding Ai Long, the President of ICT Human Resource Management Department, Huawei, in China, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah appreciated Huawei for playing an active role in providing programs to improve digital talent competence and skills to support the transformation of Indonesia Emas 2045.

"I hope that Huawei Indonesia's compliance in running its business and concern for the Indonesian people can be a motivation for other Chinese-owned companies," said Ida.

The Minister of Manpower also appreciated Huawei's strong consistency and commitment in establishing long-term government-private partnerships.

In addition to investment and support for digital transformation, Huawei also contributes significantly to advancing the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) ecosystem in Indonesia.

Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah added that Huawei has a concern for the labor ecosystem, by employing more than 90 percent of local workers who are the best graduates from various universities.

The Minister of Manpower also appreciated Huawei's commitment to producing more than 100 thousand digital talents in Indonesia which was achieved in 2023.

"This commitment shows concrete steps taken by Huawei in supporting the development of human resources in the digital era," he said.

On the same occasion, Ding emphasized Huawei's commitment to developing digital talent in order to create a strong foundation for Indonesia Gold 2045.

"Through this initiative, we hope to continue to contribute to sustainable digital transformation in Indonesia," he concluded.

Huawei currently employs more than 2,300 local workers in Indonesia who in total create more than 20,000 jobs.
