Bogor City Asked To Participate In The Jakarta Special Region Plan
BOGOR - As a buffer zone for DKI Jakarta, Bogor City is asked to prepare for the change in the autonomy of the capital city to become a Special Region for Jakarta.
The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) through the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bogor City, Syarifah Sofiah was present at the Supervision Meeting with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel, Jakarta, last Tuesday.
As is known, the capital city will move to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in Kalimantan through Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta. Thus, the city of Bogor will have a direct impact on this.
After the meeting, Syarifah said DKI Jakarta was preparing to become a special area. Apart from Bogor City, other areas adjacent to Jakarta were also included in the meeting. Such as Bekasi, Tangerang, South Tangerang, to Cianjur.
"Because we talked about agglomeration. So how will it be related to Jakarta which will become a special area, not to become the capital city anymore," said Syarifah.
The Bogor City Government itself, continued Syarifah, also wants to get more technical details in the future. Especially the formation of an agglomeration council which will later talk about the budget.
"Later, there will also be funding, we can ask the state budget to finance the development of agglomerations such as the city of Bogor. There is integration in transportation, solid waste, and so on," he said.
Syarifah said, in the future there will be further meetings that will discuss further this matter. Bogor City will be re-involved in the structure of the agglomeration council.
Plh. Secretary of the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Suryawan Hidayat, in his report said that this supervision meeting was also intended to disseminate information related to Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.
"To avoid misunderstandings and regulations that apply in the community. We also want to ensure the implementation of effective regulations in accordance with the original intent of lawmakers and assist the transition process," said Suryawan.
The implementation of the supervision meeting also helped the transition process from Jakarta as the State Capital to Jakarta as a world-class city.
