Chairman Of The Indonesian House Of Representatives: No Viral, No Justice Becomes A Challenge For Us

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that public initiatives to go viral on social media or no viral, no justice, are a challenge for members of the council."The people have entrusted state power to be carried out by the executive, legislature, and judiciary, it is time for the state government to implement it effectively to handle people's affairs," said Puan at the Plenary Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, July 11.This condition is due to various problems faced by the community which increasingly require the presence of the state. However, he said, people think the state is late or even considered not to respond to these problems as they should."So the people take their own initiative which is currently being carried out by going viral on social media, no viral, no justice," he explained.Therefore, he said that the DPR RI is committed to fulfilling people's expectations through its functions. Moreover, he said, the people always have hope in the DPR RI as the bearer of the constitutional mandate to carry out the sovereignty of the people."The DPR RI will continue to strive to be able to realize people's lives that are getting better, more advanced, more prosperous, and easier," he said.Meanwhile, he explained that the DPR RI through the board (AKD) equipment had held work meetings and hearings related to problems that became public attention."The problem with people's housing savings, the cancellation of hundreds of educator midwives who have passed the 2023 PPPK selection, online gambling, the entry of Starlink internet service providers, land including land mafias and electronic certificates, and drug trafficking in the border areas of Kalimantan Island," he said.
He then asked the government to immediately follow up on all these problems, so that the people feel the presence of the state in managing the people.
