Here's How 9 Lestari Regency Towards Independence In 2045

JAKARTA - The Lestari Regency Gathering Circle (LTKL) held a Sustainable District Outlook 2024 event with the theme Lestari Regency Transformation Towards Vision Indonesia 2045: Action, Innovation, and Collaboration.

This event was attended by various important parties such as district governments, development partners, the private sector, and the local community to highlight how the 9 LTKL districts are.

So far, these 9 LTKL districts have continued to process to realize their commitments in transitioning to green districts, as well as promoting good practices and models of multi-party collaboration that encourage the acceleration of various changes in districts.

The holding of the Sustainable District Outlook is side by side with the General Meeting of LTKL Members which is held annually, which is marked by the launch of the LTKL annual report.

Based on the Declaration of Vision of Lestari Regency 2030, LTKL members are committed to protecting at least 50 percent of the essential ecosystem and improving the welfare of the approximately 1 million families living around it.

To achieve this goal, LTKL uses a collective and collaborative approach with five main pillars: regional planning, policy innovation and regulatory framework, strengthening multi-party processes, Development of Sustainable business innovations, and Reporting of progress and communication.

Head of the LTKL Secretariat, Ristika Putri Istanti, said this year was an important moment for Indonesia with a change of government that affected policies and sustainable development plans.

"LTKL, which is a district government association that focuses on sustainable development and land management, cooperates with nine member districts and 26 development partners," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Maritime Affairs and Natural Resources of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Vivi Yulawati said that Indonesia is committed to implementing and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs.

"The principles of sustainability need to be integrated in all aspects of development at all levels of government/jurisdiction. The management of local governments that are wise and sustainable is one of the concrete steps. We appreciate the commitment of the 9 district members of LTKL, which carries out various innovations and development of sustainable development-based portfolios, in line with the direction of national development," said Vivi.

Since the declaration of the Lestari Regency Gathering Circle (LTKL) as an association in 2017, LTKL has achieved various significant achievements.

During this year's period, there were several crucial highlights of achievements.

A total of 361,309.61 hectares of land in 9 districts have been legalized through agrarian reform regulations.

In addition, 78,421.31 hectares of land in 6 districts have been designated as Sustainable Agricultural Food Land (LP2B).

On the other hand, 243 joint programs have been generated in 7 districts, and as many as 298 young people living in districts have been connected to green jobs.

If totaled for the past year, LTKL members have made breakthroughs, especially in terms of encouraging natural-based innovation.
