Tesla Cybertruck Occupies The Best-Selling Car Ranking In The US June 2024
JAKARTA - Since the emergence of the Tesla Cybertruck is not a favorite for everyone. Many of the controversys that surround it from late shipments, bad battery range, to designs that are too unique and deemed less well-selling. However, the selling figure of the Cybertruck seems to suggest otherwise.
Recent data from Kelley Blue Book (KBB) shows Tesla Cybertruck was the best-selling vehicle in the United States (US) during June 2024.
Overall, as reported by Teslarati, July 11, the price of new vehicles in the US was monitored to be stable, not much different from May 2024 and June 2023. Meanwhile, the average price of electric vehicle transactions increased 0.9 percent compared to May, but fell 2.5 percent compared to June last year.

Especially for Tesla, the average price of their transactions in June 2024 actually increased compared to May 2024 and June 2023. KBB said this was driven by the fantastic sales of Cybertruck in the US, which also boosted Tesla's average price as a whole. Based on the report, it was recorded that more than 3,200 units of Cybertruck were sold in June.
"Although prices for the popular Model Y and Model 3 tend to be stable month-to-month in June both have increased significantly since January - the new Cybertruck is likely to be one of the reasons for Tesla's average price hikes. In June, Cybertruck became the best-selling vehicle at prices above 100,000 US dollars - transaction average price: 112,696 US dollars (approximately Rp1.8 billion) - with more than 3,200 units sold," the KBB wrote analyzing the Cybertruck's influence on Tesla's average price increase.
Tesla itself is still keeping the exact number of Cybertruck sales a secret. Previously, the estimates circulating due to the NHTSA recall (re-ariding) against this electric pickup were around 11,688 units as of June.
