Galaxy Ring Officially Launched At Galaxy Unpacked, Take A Peek At The Price

JAKARTA Samsung held the second Galaxy Unpacked this year on Wednesday, July 10 at 20.00 WIB. At the event, Samsung launched several wearable devices, one of which was the Galaxy Ring. First exhibited in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, this smart ring is referred to as a health device because it is designed to monitor user health for 24 hours per day. This device also has several important sensors. With a weight of 2.3 grams to 3 grams, Samsung offers nine choices of sizes with various colors. There are three choices of colors that Samsung offers, including Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. In terms of design, the Galaxy Ring is equipped with a titanium grade of 5 with water resistance of 10 ATMs. That is, this device can withstand water pressure as long as it is no more than 100 meters deep. This smart ring can be used for swimming or snorkeling.

The Galaxy Ring has a lifetime of 7 days. If the battery power runs out, users can charge it with the charging container provided. This container has an LED light that can show charging status. Samsung says that this advanced device carries several Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features such as the AI sleep algorithm, Sleep Score, screening analysis, sleep metric, Cycle Tracking, Heart Rate Alert, Wellness Tips, and much more.

All recorded data will be stored in Samsung Health, a platform that can be accessed via a connected device. Not only for health, this device can take photos and turn off the alarm via pinching gestures. The Galaxy Ring will be sold for 399.99 US dollars or around Rp. 6.4 million. This device can only be ordered pre-order in certain countries such as the US and the United Kingdom. Fans in Indonesia still have to wait until this device is expanded to other countries.
