Grenade Found In Japanese Man's Bag, Hawaii Airport Sterilized
JAKARTA - Hawaii Airport, United States (US), was sterilized after the discovery of two grenades in a passenger bag of Japanese nationality.
The grenade was found by the Transportation Security Administration agency, Hawaii Police said.
Officers sterilized the terminal on Tuesday, July 9, while a bomb disposal squad moved to investigate suspicious items passing X-ray checks.
Hilo International Airport experienced a short operational suspension for approximately an hour, police said as reported by CBS News, Wednesday, July 10.
The bomb disposal team called the object an inert grenade.
