KPU Will Check Facts 721 Thousand Residents Support Dharma-Kun Wardana In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election
JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta will carry out factual verification of more than 721 thousand supporters of the candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for individual channels, Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana.Head of the DKI KPU Technical Division, Dody Wijaya, said that in the factual verification process, the KPU ranks in Jakarta will check the correct identity of residents who support Dharma-Kun as an independent cagub-cawagub.In addition, hundreds of thousands of residents whose identities have been collected by Dharma-Kun will be asked by the KPU regarding the truth of the candidate pair's support to run for the 2024 Pilkada in Jakarta.The factual verification will be carried out from July 11 to July 21, 2024."There will be a factual verification officer from the General Election Commission with an identity as a verifier. Please open the door to the ladies and gentlemen, RT-RW, we will visit from house to house a total of 721 thousand supporting residents who pass administrative verification so that we will carry out factual verification," said Dody at the DKI Jakarta KPU Office, Wednesday, July 10.Dody said that this factual verification was carried out after the KPU determined that the Dharma-Kun pair passed the administrative verification of the repair of supporting documents for prospective individual candidate pairs." “ Verification of repair documents after the Bawaslu decision has been carried out by the DKI KPU starting July 5 and completed on July 9, 2024 through Silon (Information System for Candidates) ” said Dody.The administrative verification stage is the stage of checking the validity and veracity of the supporting requirements documents, be it a letter of support statement, e-KTP, the suitability of the input data in Silon, as well as a statement of identity for supporters who on e-KTP have occupation status as members of the TNI, Polri, ASN, Village Apparatus, or are not yet 17 years old but are married.“ From the verified data, as many as 721,221 were declared eligible (MS) spread across 6 regencies/cities throughout DKI Jakarta, MS's support data exceeded the minimum support of 618,968 people who had been determined. So that the administrative verification status of the individual candidate pair is declared eligible ” said Dody.Meanwhile, Dharma Pongrekun admitted that he was grateful that he and Kun Wardana had passed the administrative verification stage in the nomination process. However, Dharma hopes to pass the factual verification in order to meet the requirements to register as a governor-cawagub of DKI Jakarta.
