Lisa Blackpink Gets Her First Headliner As A Soloist At The Global Citizen Festival

JAKARTA - After releasing the first single under RCA Records, Rockstar, Lisa will for the first time become a headliner in a major event in the United States, the Global Citizen Festival.

The event announced that the youngest Blackpink member will appear at Central Park, New York on September 28.

The new #GlobalCitizenFestivalHeadliner has been announced. Global 'Rockstar', @lalalalisa_m from BLACKPINK will join us," wrote Global Citizen Festival in an Instagram post caption, Tuesday, July 9.

In this year's event, Lisa will share the stage with other headliners, namely Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, and Rauw Alejandro.

"We are very pleased with Lisa's joining for her first solo appearance at a music festival," said Katie Hill as SVP Global Citizen.

Lisa is not only someone who performs extraordinary performance, but also a strong advocate, taking advantage of his voice and platform to encourage some of the most pressing challenges facing our world," he continued.

With her first headliner outside of Blackpink, Lisa shows her solo career going well so far. 'Rockstar', which was released on June 27, received a good response from fans and perched on several charts.
