Man In Bali Pretends To Borrow A Motorcycle To Go Home, Apparently Sold For Gambling
BADUNG- A recidivist in the sexual abuse case with the initials KB alias Mandrak (49) was arrested by the Mengwi Police, Bali, for embezzling two motorbikes.
Head of Public Relations of the Badung Police, Ipda Putu Sukarma, said that the modus operandi of the perpetrator was to borrow the victim's motorbike with the excuse that it would be brought to his hometown.
But one month later the perpetrator sold the victim's motorbike without permission.
"The perpetrator sold the victim's motorbike to the Buleleng area for Rp2,350,000. The money from the sale of Honda motorcycles was used by the perpetrators to play gambling and meet the needs of daily life," said Ipda Sukarma, Monday, July 8.
The incident occurred in Banjar Karangenjung Bhakti, Sembung Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The victim with the initials IKW (39) reported to the police.
"Dengan kejadian tersebut korban mengalami kerugian sebesar Rp9 juta dan korban melapor ke Polsek Mengwi guna penanganan lebih lanjut," imbuhnya.

From the report, the perpetrator was arrested. Apparently, the perpetrator had also embezzled a motorbike in Tabanan Bali in March 2024.
"The perpetrator admitted that he had embezzled a motorcycle belonging to the victim. And on March 26, 2024, the perpetrator also embezzled a color Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle in the Padangan Kaja area, Tabanan," he said.
The perpetrator was charged with embezzlement in Article 372 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 4 years.
