Minister Of Home Affairs Highlights Regional Budget In Front Of KPK: The Program Is IDR 5 Billion, Official Travel Is IDR 10 Billion
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian highlighted the inefficient use of the budget in the regions. He said, there were a lot of expenditures in the regions for unnecessary meetings and official trips.
This was conveyed by Tito in his presentation at the National Coordination Meeting for Strengthening Commitment to Supervision of Local Government Implementation in the Eradication of Corruption at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 8.
"The spending that we see is the highest vulnerability, inefficient in compiling budget posture. Expenditure spending on personnel expenditures, salaries, and other additional income," Tito said in his statement.
In addition, he also highlighted shopping in the regions related to employee operational costs. Tito said that there are many budgets that end up being inefficient in their use.
"Starting from unnecessary, inefficient, official travel meetings are not necessary, so in the end, the core program, for example, is IDR 5 billion, the comparative study program is IDR 2-3 billion, the meeting is IDR 3 billion, the official trip is IDR 10 billion," he said.
