Two Morocco Players Lost In The Ocean Hit By The Wind
JAKARTA Two Morocco players who defended the Tanger Ittihad club have been missing at sea since Saturday, July 6, 2024, as a result of being hit by the wind.
Tanger's Vice President Ittihad, Anass Mrabet, confirmed that the two players were sailing off the north coast of Tangier City along with three of their other colleagues who were also club players at the time of the incident.
They were then carried by ocean currents and strong winds which then destroyed their small boats.
"Three players were rescued on Saturday, while the search is still ongoing for the missing Salman Harraq and Abdellative Akhrif," he said.

The five players did not carry buoys, but were forced to jump into the sea because their ship was torn apart.
They also tried to save themselves by swimming, but Akhrif and Harraq disappeared unknown until now.
Akhrif is 24 years old and has become a full member of the squad. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Harraq will join this year's senior team.
Ittihad Tanger has been in Morocco's Main Division since 2015 and won the league title for the first and only in their history in the 2017-2018 season.
However, they have struggled in the lower half of the standings in recent years.
