Semenjung Teluk Working Council Condemns Israeli Bombing In Nuseirat

RIYADH - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, condemned the school bombing by Israel at the Nuseirat Camp, the agency's press statement said.

Israel bombarded the Jaouni school, belonging to the United Nations Humanitarian Aid and Work Institute for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp.

The action targeted innocent displaced people, GCC said in a statement.

Nuseirat is a Palestinian refugee camp located in the middle of the Gaza Strip, five kilometers northeast of Deir al-Balah.

As reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 7, Albudaiwi confirmed that continued brutal attacks by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in Gaza and other regions of Palestine were an eye-on violation of international law and humanitarian agreements.

Albudaiwi also underlined that direct targeting of refugee camps was a striking violation of international law and humanitarian agreements.

He described this act as a war crime that confirms a serious criminal approach by Israeli occupation forces, for not showing appreciation for legal, moral and humanitarian values.

Albudaiwi called on the international community, including all countries and organizations, to take immediate and serious action to implement a ceasefire, halt dangerous Israeli military operations, and hold parties related to this violation accountable.

Albudaiwi also ensured the firmness of GCC member countries in supporting the Palestinian independence struggle and made every effort to protect the Palestinian people from the atrocities and criminal behavior of Israeli occupation forces.
