10 People Died In Bridge Pillar Bus Accident In Sao Paolo Brazil

JAKARTA - A total of 10 people were killed and 42 others injured when the bus hit the middle pillar of the bridge in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

According to authorities, the accident occurred just after midnight local time, Friday, July 5, in the west of the state capital Sao Paulo.

The bus is on its way from Itapeva to Aprecida, a religious city known to attract many pilgrims to the Basilica of the Virgin Maria Aprecida.

The injured people were taken to a hospital in Itapitininga and a neighboring town of Sorokaba, authorities said, quoted by Reuters on Saturday, July 6.
