Police Make Sure Vocational High School Students Died While Playing Football In Cakung Due To Being Shocked By Light Poles
The Cakung Police confirmed that a teenage boy with the initials MWG who was found dead lying on a field in the Pulogebang area, Cakung District, East Jakarta, was electrocuted after holding a lighting pole in the field.
"The victim died from being electrocuted," said Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Panji Ali Candra when confirmed, Friday, July 5.
Kompol Panji explained that the incident occurred in the H. Niun alley, Bulutangkis Field, RT 010/04, Pulogebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Thursday, July 4, at around 15.00 WIB.
That afternoon, the victim was playing the ball on the badminton field along with his other colleagues.
"Then the victim's hand held the lamp of the badminton field, but the victim screamed for help," he said.
A number of fellow victims and witnesses then looked for bamboo. After being helped by witnesses with bamboo, the victim was finally able to escape from the lamp and the victim fell.
"The victim's friend called the victim's father and when the victim's father arrived at the scene, the victim had died," he said.

Furthermore, the victim's body was evacuated to his house. From the results of the inspection by the Cakung Police, from the victim's body there were no violent injuries, either sharp or blunt weapons.
"The victim died from being electrocuted," he said.
Furthermore, koban's parents made a statement regarding the incident that his party had accepted the incident because of a disaster. The victim's family also refused to be autopsied.
Previously, it was reported that a number of residents of densely populated residential areas were shocked by the discovery of a teenage body lying on a sports field in the Pulogebang area, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Thursday afternoon, July 4.
According to residents' information, the victim was lying down because he was hit by a lightning strike while playing football on an empty land during a heavy rain situation. The incident immediately sparked the attention of local residents.
"Just go to work, have you moved," said a resident who had recorded the teenager lying down.
A number of residents who knew about the incident immediately went to the scene to confirm the condition of the victim.
However, many residents gathered around, no one dared to hold the victim's body. Residents only saw and stood at the scene.
"The information is again playing football, struck by lightning. (victim) Class 3 SMK has the initials MWG," he said.
Meanwhile, the police when confirmed, regarding the incident, Thursday night, July 4, admitted that they had not received a report and immediately checked the location of the incident.
