KPK Reveals The Number Of Presidential Social Assistance Reduced Quality Reaches 6 Million Packages
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the presidential social assistance (bansos) distributed in 2020 and corruption amounted to 6 million packages. This figure is divided into three stages.
"Taps three, five, and six per stage are approximately two million packages. So, for the three stages, it is multiplied by two million around six million, yes, six million packages," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.
Tessa has not detailed further about this social assistance package. "Because it has entered the investigation magazine, it cannot be conveyed yet," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that it was investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of presidential social assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic which was distributed in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) in 2020. There are already suspects named, namely Ivo Wongkaren who is the President Director of Mitra Energi Persada.
The actions of the suspect in this case, called the anti-corruption commission, made the state lose up to Rp250 billion. This figure can still increase because the calculation is still being carried out.
The value of the presidential social assistance procurement project reached Rp900 billion. The mode used is to reduce the quality of the goods provided.
