Ghufron Concerning The AGOs Of Kompak Denies Closing Coordination Doors: Gratitude, That Means Commitment
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron said the compact rebuttal submitted by the Attorney General's Office and the National Police regarding closing the door to coordination with his institution was a form of commitment. He welcomed what the law enforcement institution said.
"Yes, it's not just the Prosecutor's Office that has responded, as well as the police. I am grateful that it means it is a commitment and of course we will follow up," Ghufron told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 3.
Ghufron said this follow-up was proof that there were no coordination or disturbed supervision.
"We consider it a commitment," he said.
As previously reported, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata said the sectoral ego of law enforcement officers was still happening. As a result, coordination and supervision are difficult to implement.
This was conveyed by Alexander while attending the KPK Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission III of the DPR on Monday, July 1. Initially, he mentioned the function of coordination and supervision between law enforcement officers in handling corruption cases.
"Indeed, in the old and new KPK Law, there is a coordination and supervision function. Is it going well? I have to say that it didn't go well," Alexander said as quoted from YouTube DPR RI.
"The sectoral ego is still there, it's still there. If we arrest the prosecutor or handle the prosecutor, for example, suddenly from the prosecutor's office closing the door of coordination and supervision. It's difficult. Also with the police like that," he continued.

This statement was later denied by the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, that the Bhayangkara Corps continues to support the performance of the KPK in accordance with applicable regulations. "We are committed to supporting the eradication of corruption and have coordinated in law enforcement with the KPK," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that Alexander Marwata's statement was wrong. This is because the statement is considered groundless.
The proof is that they always send prosecutors, detention car facilities, and security for detainees and trial room prosecutors.
