Declining To 10th Position After Being Given A Penalty In The 2024 Dutch MotoGP, Marc Marquez Pasrah
JAKARTA - Marc Marquez must accept the harsh fact after appearing in the 2024 Dutch MotoGP. Marquez, who finished fourth, lost his points and instead fell to 10th position.
In the race at the Assen Circuit, Sunday, June 30, 2024, Marquez should have got 13 points after finishing in fourth position. However, in reality, the Gresini Racing rider only got six points.
This happened because Marquez was declared subject to a penalty of 16 seconds and had to settle for being 10th. He accepted the punishment for violating regulations regarding tire pressure.
"Unfortunately, although a little, we are beyond the technical parameters related to tire pressure. Therefore, we received the penalty," said Marc Marquez regarding the situation he experienced as reported by Crash on Monday, July 1, 2024.

Marquez now has 142 points or trailing 58 points from Jorge Martin who is the leader of the standings with 200 points.
