How To Record Screen When Playing Games Using Steam Game Recording

Steam has a device called Steam Game Recording, which is designed to record your game automatically in the background while you play.

In this tool, there are two recording modes, namely "Record in background" which will record all the games and allow you to save unexpected moments that may not be thought of recording.

However, there is also the "Record on demand" option, where this tool will only record the game when you turn on the option.

When you play, you will see a timeline in the overlay, showing information about recordings, timeline events, timeline markers, and playback and clipping tools.

Move the playhead or hover at the timeline to review your recordings and replay how your character has just died or backed back to your last play session.

If you find a moment you want to save or share, the Klip button will suggest a clip on the timeline that you can adjust by dragging the end point, or using the Start and End Klip button.

When you save the clip, you will see it with the yellow blades icon on the timeline, the recording has now been saved to your PC.
