OPM Anniversary July 1, Maybrat Police In Southwest Papua Intensify Patrols
WEST PAPUA DAYA - Maybrat resort police (Polres) in Southwest Papua carry out patrols to increase security in connection with the anniversary of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) which is commemorated today, July 1.
Maybrat Police Chief, AKP Ruben said patrols have been intensified today since morning, including the Maybrat Regent's office and other important points.
"Patrol is carried out in a number of villages including Kampung Susumuk, Kampung Kumurek, Kampung Ayawasi, and a number of other areas," said Ruben in Kumurek, Monday, July 1, quoted by Antara.
In addition to patrols, the Maybrat Police also carried out a blue light patrol, and monitored traffic flow at vulnerable points within the Maybrat Regency area.
"In general, the Kamseltibcar situation was monitored to be under control, the security and social order were conducive, and there were no prominent incidents," said Ruben.
Deputy Chief of Police of Maybrat, AKP Muhammad Rusli added, the importance of synergy and collaboration between relevant agencies in maintaining security and public order in the Maybrat area.
"We must work well together and maintain synergy between agencies and the community," he said.
