Gas Explosion in Türkiye Killed 4 people, 20 Injured

JAKARTA - A gas explosion in Izmir, western Turkey, killed four people and injured 20 others.

"According to the latest reports, a household gas explosion killed four people and injured 20 others. Ten of them are in serious condition," a local official told NTV television channel as reported by TASS on Monday, July 1.

The gas explosion occurred at around 3 p.m. local time on Sunday, June 30, on the ground floor of a residential building that also houses a restaurant and bakery.

The building was badly damaged. The explosion also shattered windows in neighboring homes.
