Facing The 2024 Pilkada, Hasto: PDIP Collaborates With Gerindra In Lampung And PAN In Bengkulu
Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said the party bearing the bull symbol collaborated with the Gerindra Party in Lampung and the National Mandate Party (PAN) in Bengkulu, to face simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) in 2024.
He said that PDIP's cooperation with other political parties depends on the political map aspect that is typical in their respective regions. However, for certain areas, according to him, PDIP will prioritize its cadres to become candidates for regional heads.
"PDIP does not lack the stock of leaders and the dialogue process with political parties to carry out the governor's candidate and cawagub (vice governor's candidate) intensely," said Hasto while attending the Bung Karno Month Festival as quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday.
For Lampung, according to Hasto, PDIP communicates intensely related to the position of a candidate for governor and deputy governor candidate. In the area, PDIP plans to present a candidate for deputy governor, while the governor candidate is from the Gerindra Party.
Then for Bengkulu, the position of the governor candidate and his deputy is still being discussed with PAN, which is the target of cooperation.

In addition to the two regions, said Hasto, PDIP also communicated intensely with the National Awakening Party (PKB) in terms of the East Java regional elections. PDIP is to respect PKB as the winner of the legislative elections in the area.
"This is a political map that is a consideration for the PDI-P in making decisions," he said.
As for Central Java, he will prioritize his own cadres to run as a candidate for governor because the Central Java region is very much taken into account as a PDIP basis.
"There are names circulating, such as Pak Andika (Former TNI Commander) which was also proposed in Central Java, Bung Hendi (Hendrar Prihadi) as the mayor for two terms who has leadership qualifications as well as the names that come in are proposed in the regions," he said.
