Make Sure You Don't Support Anies Baswedan In The Jakarta Pilkada, Projo Volunteers: Incumbents Always Lose

JAKARTA - Pro Jokowi Volunteers (Projo) ensure that they will not support Anies Baswedan as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Projo assessed that incumbents always lose in the contestation of the Jakarta gubernatorial election. The General Treasurer of the Projo Panel Barus said that his party would carefully consider who the figure will be supported as the Jakarta cagub.

"We will carefully calculate our political steps. And Projo is of the view that if the incumbent advances in DKI, we are also ready to face it. Because historically, incumbents always lose," said the Panel in Jakarta, Friday, June 28.

The panel then looked at the figure of the former governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil to be supported by the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Projo, he said, would support Ridwan as the governor. Moreover, Ridwan Kamil has been given a recommendation by the Golkar Party to be able to choose whether to run in the Jakarta Pilkada or in West Java.

"Projo had a statement that he would support Pak Ridwan Kamil if he was to advance in Jakarta, especially yes. In West Java, it does not mean that we do not support it, we also support it," said Panel Barus.
