National Data Center Hacked, Acting Governor Claims Service In Lampung Not Affected
Acting Governor of Lampung Samsudin said public services in Lampung Province were not disturbed by cyber attacks on the National Data Center (PDN). "Regarding the incident of cyber attacks on PDN, I have not received a direct report on the impact here. But there seems to be no problem," said Samsudin in Bandarlampung, Friday. He also ensured that public services in Lampung Province did not experience any problems during the recovery process of PDN which experienced cyber attacks some time ago. "Later, even if there is a disturbance, we hope it will not interfere significantly with public services in Lampung because there have been anticipatory measures. We will also explore this incident further," he said. Additional responses regarding the condition of public services in the regions after the occurrence of cyber attacks of PDN, said the Head of the Lampung Province Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik) Achmad Saefullloh. "With the hacking incident at PDN 2 in Surabaya, based on the statement of the Head of BSSN (Head of Cyber and Crypto Negara) and the Minister of Kominfo there are still backups at the national data center in Batam, and currently there is still a recovery process," said Achmad Saefulloh.

For public services in Lampung Province, he said, there were no disturbances because they used national data center 1 in Tangerang. "Incidentally, because our data guardians, including data in Lampung, were handed over to PDN 1 in Tangerang, so far there has been no data leakage and later we will use the existing server backup," he added.
He also hopes that the anticipatory steps can prevent a wider impact on cyber attacks in PDN to various data in the regions.
"Hopefully everything can be resolved and will not have a serious impact on data and systems in the regions," he said.
