Pengai Setiawan's Lawyer Responds To Case Files That Don't Meet Criminal Elements: This Is Severe!
JAKARTA - Pegi Setiawan's camp highlighted a statement from the West Java High Prosecutor's Office regarding the incompleteness of elements in the case file for the alleged murder of Vina and Eky.
Toni RM, Pegi Setiawan's attorney, stated that this shows that investigators have not been able to prove that their client was involved in the alleged murder case.
"The limit is that the evidence has not fulfilled the elements, meaning that the evidence attached by the West Java Police investigators, the evidence that has not fulfilled the elements towards Pegi Setiawan is the perpetrator of the murder, this is very serious," said Toni to VOI, Thursday, June 27.
Generally, Toni continued, in returning the case file, the prosecutor would convey that there was a shortage only of testimony from witnesses or experts.
However, the elements suspected by the investigative team have been fulfilled with other evidence.
"If that's the case, it means that the evidence is sufficient," he said.
On that basis, Toni believes that Pegi Setiawan is not the Perong referred to in the court's decision on the 2016 murder of Vina and Eky.
"We are sure that West Java Police investigators will not be able to complete the evidence because there is no evidence," said Toni.
