Functional Feasibility Test Completed, Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Ready To Connect JORR 2 Network

JAKARTA - The Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 2B of the Nagrak-Cibitung Segment has finished conducting a function-worthy test (ULF).

The implementation of this ULF is the last series before the toll road can be operated.

The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) stated that this ULF was carried out to ensure that all technical specifications for the requirements and road equipment on toll roads were met properly.

The ULF was carried out on June 11-14, 2024, which was attended by representatives from the Directorate General of Highways, the Toll Road Regulatory Agency, the Block Free Road Directorate, the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), the Jakarta-West Java National Road Implementation Center and Korlantas Polri.

"The Ministry of PUPR together with the Toll Road Business Entity PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways have completed the construction of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 2B Nagrak-Cibitung Segment and a function-worthy test (ULF) has been carried out," said BPJT management statement quoted from its official website, Wednesday, June 26.

This 19.65 kilometer (km) toll road is the last section of the Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road.

This toll road is included in the Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2 toll road network.

The Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road is the last section that has not been fully connected. This means that if the Nagrak-Cibitung section can start operating, the JORR 2 Toll Road network will be fully connected.

After the ULF is implemented, toll road operators will make improvements to the results of the ULF team's inspection.

Furthermore, the government will issue a function-worthy certificate issued by the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation and an operating-worthy certificate (SLO) from the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR.

If all the certificates have been pocketed, later this toll road can be fully operated according to the operation period by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).

Previously, the Nagrak-Cibitung toll road was opened for functional homecoming and return services for Lebaran 2024.

In general, the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road is a connecting access from the Cibubur area to the Jagorawi Toll Road. In addition, this toll road will increase the capacity of roads that cross four areas, namely Depok City, Bekasi, Bogor Regency and Bekasi.

The Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road will be connected to another JORR 2 Toll Road network, namely the Cengkareng-Kunciran, Kunciran-Serpong, Serpong-Cinere, Cinere-Jagorawi and Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Roads.

In addition, this toll road will be connected to the Trans Java Toll Road for the Jakarta-Cikampek section and is one of the solutions to reduce traffic density from the Cikampek Toll Road to Jakarta or towards the Bogor area.
